Question by nanniebythesea: Do you grow bonsai? My Serissa…?
My Serissa has done well and bloomed profusely in the spring. Now it’s leaves are turning yellow and dropping off at an alarming rate. It gets a small sun in the morning and I fertilize it (and all my bonsai) with a mild solution of Miracle Grow. I live in the middle south and we’ve been having temps in the high 90′s.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks!

make sure it’s getting water and staying inside or in the shade. if it were later in the year it could have been hybernation but you may consider keeping it cool or inside.

I’ve grown Serissa outside before. Honestly I don’t know how people grow it as a bonsai. I’ve seen it sold in the bonsai section of nurseries. I’d say that Serissa likes mostly sun and can tolerate part shade. I would NOT try to grow it in the house.
Excellent luck.
